Exploring the intersection of menopause, leadership and change
My academic and professional work focuses on how the menopause transition influences women’s leadership journeys and how workplaces can better support women in midlife.
I hold an MSc in Business Psychology with Distinction from Heriot-Watt University, where my dissertation examined Menopause and Leadership. I’m now preparing to begin further research to deepen understanding and develop practical, evidence-based interventions for inclusive leadership development.
I regularly publish briefing papers, articles and presentations, translating academic research into actionable insights for employers, policymakers and professional communities. I also speak regularly at industry events. Recent speaking engagements include:
- Menopause, ambition and the leadership gap; Understanding the impact on women's careers. Women in in Banking and Finance, October 2025
- Ambition at every age: Six Degrees of separation from menopause. Women in Banking and Finance, September 2025
- Menopause and Menstruation Awareness. Citizen's Advice Scotland.October 2025
